Bluff

Today, we visited Bluff. Bluff is like the Land's End of New Zealand. It's like Land's End in a number of ways.

Firstly, it's not actually the most southerly point of the mainland; that honour falls to Slope Heap, a place that we couldn't even be bothered to visit because we had heard it is rubbish.

Secondly, it has a big sign with pointers to various places that you might prefer to be than cold, windswept Bluff. Luckily, it is unlike Land's End in that there isn't a guy trying to get you to pay to have your picture taken next to the sign. Behold:





Notice that the pointer to London appears to be pointing to the north, which I don't think is the shortest route. Surely the shortest route to London would take you to the south. Cuss.

We didn't stay long enough to sample Bluff Oysters, which apparently are the world's best.
